Abstract

"Teak wood" is one of Thailand's most valuable economic and cultural materials. It has long been popular in the furniture industry due to its outstanding characteristics, including strength, durability against weather and insects, and unique wood grain patterns. However, the teak furniture industry faces several challenges, such as rising production costs, shifting consumer demands, and competition from substitute materials and imported products. These factors necessitate that manufacturers adjust their strategies by focusing on innovative and creative designs to enhance the value of teak furniture.

Integrating modern design concepts with technology and innovation can make teak furniture more distinctive and better meet market demands in terms of aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. This article explores approaches to designing and developing innovations for teak furniture to enhance its competitiveness in the market. Additionally, it aims to support the growth and advancement of Thailand's teak furniture industry to meet international standards.
