This article aims to analyze the role of vocational education in China as a key driver of economic competitiveness in the era of technological innovation. It focuses on the integration of educational policy, organizational culture, cross-sector communication, and the development of students’ digital skills. The analysis reveals that China’s success in elevating its vocational education system stems from clearly defined strategic policies, the promotion of a dual education system, the cultivation of a culture of innovation within educational institutions, and strong participation from industry and the private sector. Furthermore, the enhancement of students’ digital skills and digital competence plays a crucial role in producing a workforce aligned with high-tech industries. The article offers policy recommendations for other countries—especially developing ones such as Thailand—on how to adapt China’s approach to vocational education in order to respond effectively to rapid economic and technological changes in a sustainable manner.
