EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION FOR THE ELDERLY IN LAMPANG PROVINCE: LEARNING NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONTEXT OF CULTURE AND TRADITION

This conceptual paper examines the increasing aging population and the digital divide in Lampang Province, which pose critical challenges to the development of learning capabilities among older adults, particularly in relation to new technologies that play an essential role in daily life. The study analyzes and synthesizes key concepts in lifelong educational administration, adult learning theory, and culturally responsive education to propose administrative approaches for promoting technology learning among older adults. Emphasis is placed on ensuring alignment with the cultural context and traditions of Northern Thailand.
The analysis highlights that curriculum administration and learning activities integrating technological knowledge with Lanna cultural heritage and local wisdom can enhance older adults’ adaptation to new technologies, improve their quality of life, strengthen social participation, and contribute to systematic and sustainable community development.
