THE DEMOCRATIC CITIZENSHIP FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS OF MAHAMAKUT BUDDHIST UNIVERSITY ROI ET CAMPUS

Abstract

The purposes of the study were 1) to survey the citizenship in accordance with democracy method for graduate school students of Mahamakut Buddhist University Roi Et Campus and 2) to study development way of citizenship in accordance with democracy method for graduate school students of Mahamakut Buddhist University Roi Et Campus. The sample of the study was 283 graduate school students of Mahamakut Buddhist University Roi Et Campus. The instrument used was the five-rating scale questionnaire with Index of Item Objective Congruence (IOC) at 0.67-1.00 and the reliability was at 0.98. Statistics used were Frequency, Percentage, Average, and Standard Deviation.

            The results showed that: 1. An overall level of citizenship in accordance with democracy method for graduate school students of Mahamakut Buddhist University Roi Et Campus was at a high level. The respective ranges were following rules, respective other rights, and social responsibility. 2. An opinion level of citizenship in accordance with democracy method for graduate school students of Mahamakut Buddhist University Roi Et Campus were divided into majoring subjects: 2.1 Following rule was at a high level following by Master of Educational Administration major, Master of Political Science major, Doctor of Buddhism and Philosophy major, Master of Buddhism and Philosophy major, Doctor of Educational Administration major, and Doctor of Political Science major, 2.2 Respecting other rights was at a high level following by Master of Educational Administration major, Doctor of Buddhism and Philosophy major, Master of Political Science major, Doctor of Educational Administration major, Master of Political Science in Buddhistic Local Government major, and Doctor of Political Science major, 2.3Social Responsibility was at a high level following by Master of Educational Administration major, Doctor of Educational Administration major, Master of Buddhism and Philosophy major, Doctor of Buddhism and Philosophy major, Master of Political Science in Buddhistic Local Government major, and Doctor of Political Science major. 3.The development way of citizenship in accordance with democracy method for graduate school students of Mahamakut Buddhist University Roi Et Campus could be concluded that the enhancement of social living should be applied. People should accept social rules, perform legally and law reinforcement would cause social justice. Respective other rights indicated that everyone should accept and follow public opinion although something might be opposite to your own. Social responsibility was found that students’ problem resolutions should start at themselves without committing any problems and students’ actions reflected the society they lived in.
