Factors Affecting the Success of Operation of Community Justice A Case Study of Nong-Go District, Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

The study on “Factors Affecting the Success of Operation of Community Justice:
 A Case Study of Nong-Go District, Khon Kaen Province” is qualitative research. This research aims to analyze the factors that affect the success of operation of Nong-Go Community Justice and to study problems or obstacles of operations of Nong-Go Community Justice. The sample consisted of 24 members and classified into 3 groups as state officers, members of Community Justice Center and people in the area of Nong-Go. Research findings revealed that the key factors that affecting the success of operation of Nong-Go Community Justice were the collaboration from all sectors, government, private sector, members of community justice, and public sector in the community. Moreover, the judgement by using both litigation and alternative dispute resolution including the knowledge of members of community justice, supportive laws, motivation such as overtime compensation, oil fee and certificate, and confidence on the members also affecting the performance efficiency led to the success of operation of Nong-Go Community Justice. The problems and obstacles of operation of Nong-Go Community Justice were inadequate officers, officers’ knowledge, the lack of budget, the coordination and cooperation with external agencies and the inefficient of using the knowledge to achieve the most effective goal.
