This scholarly article critically examines the historical context, contemporary dynamics, and prospects of the border regime. Through a comprehensive analysis of historical events, current socio-political factors and potential trajectories this study aims to provide a nuanced understanding of the border regime's evolution and its implications for both countries and the wider region.
