ความท้าทายของมหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศไทยในยุคการศึกษาหยุดชะงัก

การศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาในประเทศไทยกำลังอยู่ในช่วงของการเปลี่ยนแปลงครั้งสำคัญ แม้ว่ามหาวิทยาลัยที่มีอายุเก่าแก่และมีชื่อเสียงกว่าอาจได้รับผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงเหล่านี้น้อยกว่าหรือได้รับผลกระทบช้ากว่าสถาบันอื่น ๆ แต่ปัจจุบันมหาวิทยาลัยทุกแห่งล้วนมีความพยายามที่จะปรับตัวและเปลี่ยนแปลง ซึ่งอาจท้าทายสำหรับสถาบันขนาดใหญ่และซับซ้อนที่มีประวัติและชื่อเสียงที่แข็งแกร่ง อาจตอบสนองการตอบรับทั้งภายในและภายนอก แม้ว่าระบบมหาวิทยาลัยของประเทศไทยจะมีเสถียรภาพ แข็งแกร่ง และทำงานได้ดีในหลายด้าน แต่บทความนี้เป็นผลจากการที่ประเทศยอมรับว่ามหาวิทยาลัยอาจขาดความสามารถในการปรับตัวในเชิงกลยุทธ์และเชิงสถาบันที่อนาคตต้องการ เนื่องจากการระบาดใหญ่ของ Covid19 การเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็วในการสอนดิจิทัลและการเรียนรู้ทางไกล และการหยุดชะงักของเศรษฐกิจและตลาดแรงงาน ควบคู่ไปกับความไม่แน่นอนที่เพิ่มขึ้น ความซับซ้อน และความวุ่นวายที่อาจเกิดขึ้นที่สังคมเคยประสบมาก่อนการระบาดใหญ่ ความสำคัญของ เน้นความเป็นผู้นำทางวิชาการและการต่ออายุเชิงกลยุทธ์ของการศึกษาได้รับการเน้น การปฏิรูประบบมหาวิทยาลัยของประเทศไทยครั้งสำคัญหลายครั้งได้บรรลุผลสำเร็จในทศวรรษที่ผ่านมา ในยุคหลังการระบาดของโควิด19นี้ มหาวิทยาลัยจำนวนมากต้องปรับตัวเพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการที่เกิดจากการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมด้านเทคโนโลยีอย่างรวดเร็ว เพื่อบรรลุถึงความทันสมัยและการปรับโครงสร้างองค์กร เช่นเดียวกับการเคลื่อนย้ายที่เพิ่มขึ้นระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยและองค์กรทางสังคม เช่น ธุรกิจ หน่วยงานของรัฐ และโรงพยาบาล
