EFFECTS OF LEARNING ACTIVITIES MANAGEMENT BASED ON CONTEMPLATIVE EDUCATION INTEGRATED WITH THE SUFFICIENCY ECONOMY PHILOSOPHY TO ENHANCE SELF-DISCIPLINE BEHAVIOR OF LOWER PRIMARY STUDENTS

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to compare the self-discipline behavior before and after learning activities management based on contemplative education integrated with the sufficiency economy philosophy of lower primary students, 2) to study the satisfaction of students on learning activities management based on contemplative education integrated with the philosophy of sufficiency economy. This research is a quasi-experimental research. The samples used in the research were 58 students, grade 2 at Wat Laem Fa Pha School under the Samut Prakan Primary Educational Service Area Office (Area 1), in the first semester of the academic year 2024. The research instruments consisted of the lesson plans using learning activities management based on contemplative education integrated with the sufficiency economy philosophy; a self-discipline behavior evaluation form, and a satisfaction evaluation form of students on learning activities management based on contemplative education integrated with the sufficiency economy philosophy. The statistics used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation and t-test.


            The research results revealed that:


            1) Self-discipline behavior of lower primary students who learned after using learning activities management based on contemplative education integrated with the sufficiency economy philosophy was higher than before the experiment with statistical significance level of .05.


            2) The satisfaction of lower primary students on learning activities management based on contemplative education integrated with the sufficiency economy philosophy was at a highest level.
