Human Capital Development in Tourism Industry in the ASEAN Framework

Abstract

The research investigatead conditions of work integrated learning, designed and developed module - based packages for integration of instructions and work integrated learning for educational institutes, learners, and stakeholders. The study revealed that the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement was not applied properly. Handbooks with MRA on Tourism Professionals were designed for application. An evaluation of the modules revealed that they were effective in enhancing knowledge, skills and competency among learners to the MRA standards.
