เขตแดน พรมแดน และมรดกวัฒนธรรมข้ามพรมแดน: จากอียูถึงปราสาทพระวิหารและอาเซียน

Abstract

บทความชิ้นนี้เสนอว่า  ประสบการณ์เกี่ยวกับเขตแดน พรมแดนและ มรดกวัฒนธรรมข้ามพรมแดนจากสหภาพยุโรป อาจเป็นข้อคิดที่ช่วยให้ประเทศไทย กัมพูชา และอาเซียนนำมาประยุกต์ใช้เพื่อแก้ปัญหาความขัดแย้งระหว่างกัมพูชาและไทยกรณีพื้นที่รอบปราสาทพระวิหารที่เกิดตั้งแต่ประมาณปีค.ศ. 2008  จนกลายเป็นประเด็นสำคัญทางการเมืองระดับภูมิภาคที่มีความสำคัญต่อทิศทางการพัฒนาประชาคมอาเซียน

Border, Frontier and Trans-Boundary Heritage: Lessons from the EU for the Case of Preah Vihear and ASEAN

This article points out that the Thai-Cambodian conflict over territory near Preah Vihear Temple is critical to the peace in Southeast Asia as well as to the prospects of ASEAN Community. It suggests that Thailand, Cambodia and ASEAN may find a peaceful solution to the conflict by examining the European Union's record of dealing with border, frontier and trans-boundary cultural heritage.
