Abstract

This research was aimed to 1. develop guidelines for quality of education through Professional Learning Community in schools, and 2. evaluate the suitability, feasibility, and usefulness of guidelines to develop the quality of education in schools. It was conducted by studying documents Content validity was verified by the experts. Suitability, feasibility, and usefulness of guidelines to develop the quality of education in schools were assessed by the Professional Learning Community process. A sample group consisted of 112 school administrators working at schools under the supervision of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area Office 2. Statistics used to analyze the data were mean, standard deviation, and T-Test. Findings revealed that 1) guidelines to develop quality of education consisted of 64 items based on 3 standards, which included 25 items on quality of learners, 20 items on administration process and management, and 19 items on student learning center process. Each aspect consisted of 6 stages in professional learning community, they were policy, planning, putting the process of professional learning community into practice, reflection, inspection, monitoring, follow-up, evaluation, and improvement and development. Every item of the guideline to develop quality of education in schools showed the results of evaluation in suitability, feasibility, and usefulness higher than the set mean of 3.50 at a statistical significant level of .05.
