Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the learning management for enhancing the elderly health care competency of the students in Boromarajonani College of Nursing Sanpasithiprasong and Sari Mutiara University, Republic of Indonesia. It is a mixed method research that used statistics to analyze the data were percentage, average, standard deviation and content analysis. The research findings, The study in learning management in Boromarajonani College of Nursing Sanpasithiprasong were as follows : 1) The administrator has announced an clearly policy, 2) there were reviewed of the principles to students, 3) there were assesment the readiness of students, 4) the instructors assigns students to study additional knowledge, 5) there were improved of teaching and learning in various ways, 6) there were bring suggestion of the institute board to develop learning management. In part of competency of the students, it was found that most of them had the overall health care competency at a high level of 63.12% ( = 4.29, S.D. = 0.03) and the highest part was in self-awareness in elderly health care. The study in learning management in Sari Mutiara University were as follows : 1) The administrator has announced an clearly policy, 2) there were a clearly teaching and learning model, 3) there were tests students, 4) there were assesment students satisfaction, 5) there were offered all students the opportunity to propose suggestion on improving the learning management, 6) there were brings suggestion to improve the learning management of the students to develop learning management. In part of competency of the students, it was found that the students had the highest competency and high competency the same number in elderly health care 50% : 50% ( = 4.74, S.D. = 0.04), ( = 4.28, S.D. = 0.83), and the highest part was  intelligence in elderly health care.
