A Study of Learning Achievement and Satisfaction in Thai Language Courses of Prathomsuksa 1 Students Who Studied by Skill-Enhancing Exercises

This research article have a purpose: 1) To create and find out the efficiency to learning management by using skills exercises to be effective according to the 80/80 criteria, 2) To compare the learning achievement of students before and after the learning management by using the skill reinforcement exercises,3) To study student satisfaction towards Thai language subjects studied by skill-enhancing exercises. This research was an experiment research. The samples of the study were 16 students studying in Prathomsuksa 1 at Watwanglen School, the first semester academic year 2021. The research instruments were: 1) lesson plans, 2) Skill exercises, 3) A 20-item, multiple-choice, three-choice achievement measurement form, 4) Satisfaction assessment form for Thai language subjects studied by skill-enhancing exercises. The statistics used were mean, percentage, standard deviation, and t–test (Dependent Samples). The major findings indicated as follows: 1) The results of finding efficiency in teaching management by using the reading and writing skills with long vowel combinations of Prathomsuksa 1 students were 80.33/82.17, which met the set criteria at 80/80. 2) Comparing the pre-study and post-study scores of the experimental group, it was found that the average post-study score was 17.69 and the average pre-study score was 11.81. When comparing between pre-study and post-study scores, it was found that post-study scores were significantly higher than pre-study at the .05 level. 3) The students learning satisfaction through Skill exercises was at the high level.
