Small Hotel Service Quality Assessment in Mae Sot Municipality Zone, Tak Province, for Upgrading Service Quality

Abstract

The objectives of this research paper were 1) to assess the potential of hotel Service quality in Mae Sot Municipality , Mae Sot District , Tak Province 2) to study the factors influencing tourists’ expectations in choosing a Small hotel Service in Mae Sot District , Tak Province 3) To propose quidelines for improving Service quality of a Small hotel in Mae Sot District , Tak Province. With interviews and Small group meeting The Sample grous is entrepreneurs 11 Small hotel businesses and quantitative research using questionnaires to collect data . A sample of 400 people was analyzed by using Statistical Software packages The Statistics used are The distribution of frequency, Mean , Standard deviation The results of the study found that 1) the  quality assessment of Small hotel Services in Mae Sot Municipality , Mae Sot Sub-district, Mae sot District , Tak Province . Small hotel Service The score was in the good level  2) The study of factors influencing the expectation of tourists in choosing to Use Small hotel Service in Mae Sot District , Tak Province it was found that the respondents were gender female than male there were 207 females, aged between 31-40 year, most of them were marital status, occupation, government enterprises Maeital Status, occupation , government enterprise , 136 people , education level is at bachelor’s degree, average monthly income is 20,001 – 50,000 bath, expenses per trip 6,001-9,000 bath 3) development guidelines The quality of Service of a Small hotel in Mae Sot District , Tak Province found that 1) the concreteness of the Service customers value with visual facilities such as meaningful Signs The hotel should have a Sign clearly convey the meaning 2) the house of credibility hold trust in service Small hotels in Mae Sot have few Service errors if there is a problem with customers. The hotel and its personnel The hotel can Solve problems for customers directly and quickly. Customer’s needs Small hotel, Staff can provide service in a timely manner. That customers want Because Small hotels have limitations to accommodate the number of customers 4) Dan to give confidence to customers  Customers emphasize safety standard in Access to Services in small hotels for private property by using CCTV 5) Compassion customers still give Pay attention to the Service of a Small hotel. Because small hotels can provide comprehensive Services
