Students’ e-learning behavior in under the COVID-19 outbreak: a case study of Phrom Phiram Witthaya School, Phrom Phiram Sub-district, Phrom Phiram District Phitsanulok Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the use of e-learning applications, and 2) to study students’ e-learning behavior under the COVID-19 outbreak. The population and the sample was 291 students in Phrom Phiram Wittaya School in Phrom Phiram Sub-district, Phrom Phiram District, Phitsanulok Province, which were selected based on a simple random sampling. Due to the importance of data and responses collected from the sample, the respondents are required to voluntarily provide the research data with a questionnaire. A five-rating scale questionnaire was used as a research instrument. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results of the research showed that 1)  overall use of applications in e-learning was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that all aspects were at a high level, namely the effort expectation, performance expectation, social influence, condition of the facilities, entertainment motivation, price value and familiarity, 2) Students’ overall e-learning behaviors under the COVID-19 outbreak was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that all aspects were at a high level, namely, behavior during school time and out-of-school time behavior.
