Reinforcement Process for Community - Based Research in Urban Area, Bangkok

Abstract

This research aims to 1) monitor and reinforce the community-based researches in Laksi district, Bangkok. 2) develop the systems and reinforcing mechanisms, 3) investigate the method for developing the learning centers, and 4) analyze the lesson learned for community-based research. The results of the study revealed that the researchers conducted the project on monitoring and reinforcing the activities that conformed with the according to the objectives in developing the systems and mechanisms for the researchers both in the academic areas and in the cooperation with the community people. The research found that: firstly, there had been guidelines for the developing the community learning centers in three areas: 1) the Learning Center for the Urban Community Management, Bang Bua community, Bangkhen district, Bangkok, 2) the Learning Center for the Organic Agricultural Garden, Poonsap community, Sai-Mai district, Bangkok, and 3) the Learning Center for Community Research at Krirk University. Secondly, there were four vital issues of the lesson learned from the reinforcement of community-based research were 1) the monitoring and the reinforcement process, 2) problems in working with the community people, 3) academic reinforcement and 4) communication process between the mechanisms researchers and the subproject researchers.
