HISTORY OF THE JOURNAL
The journal was established in 2003, under the name of Journal of English Studies. However, because another journal of the same was established by the English Studies Division at the University of La Rioja, in 2018, the journal was renamed as the Journal of Studies in the English Language (jSEL).

Over the last two decades, the journal has refined its aims and scopes to be more representative of the trends and prominent issues in the study of the English language. Moreover, while it still encourages submission from Thai scholars, jSEL has continually expanded the range of its author contributions to reflect its growing readership base in Southeast Asia and beyond. Over time, it has become a well-established platform for diverse scholarly perspectives and insights.
