Abstract

This article aims to review the current legal provisions in the United States where several States have adopted regulations governing licensure of athletic trainers designed to ensure that athletic training is performed in compliance with their State laws. It also aims to provide an analysis of the applicable laws in U.S. States, underlying duties of care intertwined with athletic training and addresses significant concerns of medical negligence and malpractice.

It also provides an update to the requirements for licensure of athletic trainers in U.S. States. It reviews the latest developments in the U.S. State laws to address specific methods and mechanisms identified to  enhanc the quality of athletic health care and to advance the athletic training profession.

In conclusion, this research is also Designed of which is to assist in developing a legal framework for athletic training practices in Thailand. It is recommended that key aspects of a licensed multi-skilled health care professional who practices in the field of sports health care should be used to standardize the practice of athletic training in the future.
