Systemic problems of the ethics control mechanism for non-commissioned police officers in Thailand and development guidelines

This academic article aims to study the systemic problems of the ethics control mechanism for non-commissioned police officers. The flaws and obstacles that impact ethics control include independence of inspection, inconvenient reporting systems, and lack of public participation.
The study found that the ethics control mechanism for non-commissioned police officers faces several systemic problems that impact its effectiveness in controlling police officers' behavior and ethics. The main problems identified include a lack of independence of inspection, a complex reporting and complaints system, and a lack of public participation.
The author recommends that the development and improvement of the ethics control mechanism for non-commissioned police officers should focus on creating an independent system for inspection, streamlining the reporting and complaints process to make it more convenient and accessible, and promoting public participation in police performance inspections. This includes enforcing fair and transparent penalties. This aim is to enhance public confidence and enhance the effectiveness of police ethics control.
