เยาวชนมาเลเซียและการเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมืองด้วยสื่อสังคม

บทคัดย่อ
บทความเรื่องนี้นำเสนอเนื้อหาการเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมืองของเยาวชนในประเทศมาเลเซีย โดยการใช้สื่อดิจิทัล โดยเฉพาะสื่อสังคมที่ได้รับความนิยมในช่วงสองทศวรรษที่ผ่านมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน ซึ่งสาเหตุของความขัดแย้งมาจากนโยบายการปกครองสมัยอาณานิคม ที่แบ่งแยกกลุ่มเชื้อชาติต่างๆในมาเลเซียออกจากกัน จนนำมาสู่ความแตกแยก ในขณะที่กลุ่มเชื้อชาติมาเลย์มุสลิมกลายเป็นกลุ่มที่ได้รับประโยชน์จากนโยบายของรัฐบาลมาเลเซียมากที่สุด ความไม่เท่าเทียมกันนี้ ทำให้เยาวชนมีการออกมาเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมืองเพื่อมุ่งหวังการเปลี่ยนแปลง เมื่อเกิดสื่อออนไลน์ขึ้นมา เยาวชนมาเลเซียได้ใช้สื่อในการหาค้นข้อมูล แบ่งปัน และเผยแพร่ข่าวสาร โดยเฉพาะในยุคหลังปี 2007 ที่มีการใช้สื่อสังคมในการเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมือง ระดมพล และเรียกร้องให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลง ซึ่งเยาวชนมักจะถูกจับกุมจากการชุมนุมดังกล่าว เมื่อเกิดการระบาดของโรคโควิด-19 เยาวชนไม่พอใจที่รัฐบาลไม่สามารถบริหารจัดการได้ดีและยังมีการทุจริตโดยนักการเมืองระดับสูง สภาวะเศรษฐกิจตกต่ำ ทำให้เยาวชนประสบปัญหาการไม่มีงานทำ ความไม่เท่าเทียม ความขัดแย้งจากเชื้อชาติ และอื่นๆ จนนำมาสู่การเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมืองในปี 2021 สำหรับรัฐบาลมาเลเซียชุดปัจจุบันได้ส่งเสริมให้เยาวชนมีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนาประเทศด้วยการใช้สื่อสังคม และยังมีการอบรมแนวทางการใช้สื่ออย่างรับผิดชอบผ่านโครงการของรัฐบาล อย่างไรก็ตาม ยังเป็นเรื่องที่ยากสำหรับเยาวชนที่จะออกมาเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมืองได้อย่างเสรี เนื่องจากยังมีประเด็นมี่อ่อนไหว เช่น เชื้อชาติ ศาสนาที่ไม่สามารถแตะต้องได้ และเยาวชนส่วนใหญ่ยังคงสนับสนุนนโยบายที่ให้ประโยชน์กับกลุ่มเชื้อชาติมาเลย์มุสลิม ทำให้การเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมืองของเยาวชนมาเลเซียยังคงไม่สามารถเรียกร้องให้เกิดความเท่าเทียมกันสำหรับชนกลุ่มน้อยในประเทศได้
