Abstract

This research purposes were 1) to develop and validate the composite indicators of Professional Learning Community (PLC) of secondary schools in the central region under the Office of the Basic Education Commission, 2) to examine the concordances of the equation model of Professional Learning Community indicators structure, and 3) to construct the normal criterion of Professional Learning Community.  The sample group used in this research was 600 teachers of secondary schools in the central region under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. The research tools used to collect data were a 5-level estimation scale questionnaire.  The data analysis was based on basic statistics, correlation coefficients between observable variables and construct validity by analyzing first-order confirmatory elements and second-order confirmatory element analysis by using the software package.

          The research found as follows:

  1. Professional Learning Community (PLC) indicators of secondary schools in the central region under the Office of the Basic Education Commission on average were at the high level. Each factor was also at the high level.  PLC indicators of secondary schools in the central region under the Office of the Basic Education Commission consisted of six factors 27 indicators.
  2. Confirmation component analysis was consistent with the empirical data, the Chi-square value was equal to 143.80, which was not statistically significant at the degree of freedom of 146, the RMSEA index was 0.00; the GFI index was 0.98. The CFI index was 1.00.
  3. The normal criteria for being a teacher professional learning community of secondary schools in the central region Under the Office of the Basic Education Commission, the T-score and the percentile value were overall divided into five levels and consisting the criteria to interpret the level of the professional teacher learning community as follows: higher than T419 meant the highest level, T395-419 meant the high level, T341-394 meant the medium level, T295-340 meant the low level, and less than T295 meant the lowest level.
