ATTITUDE AND INTENTION TO USE FOOD DELIVERY PLATFORMS: EVIDENCE FROM SECOND-YEAR STUDENTS AT A VOCATIONAL COLLEGE IN LIAONING, CHINA

This study examines the factors influencing sophomore students’ attitudes toward continuing to use food delivery service systems (FDSS) in Liaoning, China. It extends technology adoption research by focusing on the post-adoption stage, where accumulated service experiences shape user evaluations. A quantitative research design was applied. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from 500 sophomore students enrolled in colleges in Liaoning Province using non-probability sampling. Confirmatory factor analysis assessed reliability and validity, followed by structural equation modeling to examine the relationships among Compatibility, Emotion, Performance Expectancy, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Attitude, and Intention to Use. The results show that all hypothesized relationships were significant (p < 0.001). Compatibility and Emotion were the strongest predictors of Attitude, followed by Perceived Usefulness, while Perceived Ease of Use and Performance Expectancy showed smaller but significant effects. Attitude strongly influenced Intention to Use. The findings suggest that continued FDSS use among experienced students is mainly driven by lifestyle compatibility and positive emotional experiences rather than functional attributes, highlighting the importance of experiential factors in post-adoption digital service usage.
