Abstract

This research aimed to develop general education curriculum to promote 21^ST century citizenship skills and study to the effectiveness of the general education curriculum. The population was the first year students enrolled in the third semester of academic year 2016. The sample was the students enrolled in the course, Arts and Creativity. The sample size was 23 students are the faculty of medicine. The research instruments were 1) General Education Curriculum to promote 21^ST Century Citizenship Skills 2) the curriculum evaluation form, 3) the general education curriculum assessment form, 4) the 21^ST century citizen skills assessment form, 5) student satisfaction criteria for curriculum activities from, 6) pre-study and after-study tests, art and creative. 7) open - ended questionnaires and questionnaires. 8) course syllabus, Arts and Creativity. The data analysis was based on percentages, mean (), standard deviation (S.D.), t-test dependent, and compilation descriptive.

The research findings were as follows: 1) General education curriculum to promote 21^ST century citizenship skills, the suitability of the curriculum was very high. The average was = 4.45, S.D. = 0.44 and the consistency of the general curriculum framework between 0.60-1.00. 2) Study the effectiveness of the general education curriculum to promote 21^ST century citizenship skills. The 21^ST century Citizenship Skills of Students using general education to promote 21^ST century citizenship skills students after learning is higher than before the study at the statistical significance level of 0.05. Academic achievement of Students using the General Education Curriculum to promote the 21st century citizenship after the study was significantly higher than before the study at the 0.05 level.
