THE YOUTH AND THE SITUATION OF DRUG PROBLEMS IN THE MUNICIPAL AREAS A CASE STUDY OF THE MUNICIPAL AREAS IN THE LOWER NORTHERN REGION

Abstract

This research on ‘The Youth and the Situation of Drug Problems in the Municipal Areas, A Case Study of the Municipal Areas in the Lower Northern Region’ has the objectives to study spatial problems and the drug situation that affect the youth in the municipal areas in the lower northern region. The researcher was conducted with a quantitative research method by using a questionnaire as a tool to indicate the responses from the sample group of 900 youth in the municipal areas in the lower northern region. The research results were divided into 4 areas: 1. Attitudes of youth towards drugs in the municipal areas in the lower northern region. 2. The assessment of risk areas for drug problems 3. Experiences and impacts related to drugs among youth in municipal areas in the lower northern region. Suggestions in the research: 1. The findings in this research can be applied in improving the operations including enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of prevention and suppression of drug-related youth problems in municipal areas in the lower northern region to be strengthened with effective implementations. 2. The findings can be used as a database for identifying the theoretical and operational solutions of drug-related youth problems for both youth and related people.
