The Buddhist Ordination for Life Quality Development of the Hill Tribe Youths at Buddhist Schools in Chiang Mai Province

Abstract

his research article was to study the ordination situation affecting to the life quality development and the ordination of the hill tribe youths and to analyze relationship between personal factors and support factors affecting to their life quality development by random sampling of 341 novices and data collecting using questionnaires and analyzing the collected data and assessing the results by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, mode and Chi-square test with statistical significance at 0.05. The research finding were found that the Hill Tribe youths had the purposes of learning ordination to express their gratitude to their parents and the second one was to create the value of being a good man. The life quality development through ordination was rated at the middle level, the level of class study and the average grade in the past term was affecting to the life quality development through ordination rated at the middle level. The level of class study and the average grade in the past term were affecting to the life quality development though ordination with statistical significance at 0.05, while age, ethnicity, parental status, main income source, and the purpose of learning ordination was not affecting to the life quality development
