Ethical Standards for Authors

1. Authors must be responsible for and guarantee that the submitted article to be considered for publication in the Yanasangvar Research Institute Journal, Mahamakut Buddhist University, has not been previously published or under consideration by any other journal.

2. Authors must adhere strictly to the guidelines and submission methods for "Research Articles and Academic Articles" for publication in the Yanasangvar Research Institute Journal, Mahamakut Buddhist University, including citation systems as specified by the journal.

3. Authors must revise and correct the article to conform to the journal's format, ensuring the article meets the required publishing standards.

4. Authors must adhere to research ethics, including avoiding plagiarism or copying others’ work as their own. The Yanasangvar Research Institute Journal uses the CopyCat program from the Thaijo system to detect content overlap, with a set threshold of no more than 25%, effective from July 1, 2020.

5. Authors listed in the article must have contributed to the article or research process. If it is found that an individual without involvement in the creation of the article is listed, the journal will immediately retract the article.

6. Authors are responsible for properly citing any content, images, or tables used in their article, with proper attribution to avoid copyright infringement (in case of legal action, the responsibility lies solely with the author; the journal will not be liable) and may retract the article from publication.

7. Authors must verify the accuracy of the references listed in the article, both in terms of format and content, avoiding irrelevant academic documents and ensuring that references align with the journal’s citation guidelines.

8. Authors must revise their articles based on feedback from reviewers and the editorial board within the specified time. If revisions are not made on time, the publication may be delayed or the article may be removed from consideration.

9. Authors should disclose funding sources for their research (if applicable) and any potential conflicts of interest.

10. Authors must not present false, fabricated, or misleading data in their article, including selectively reporting information to support a conclusion.

Ethical Standards for Editors

1. Editors must oversee and ensure that the journal’s operations comply with ethical standards as outlined by the Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI) regarding the evaluation of ethics for academic journals, as per the TCI announcement on June 24, 2019.

2. Editors must monitor and take appropriate action if an article is found to violate ethical standards, such as plagiarism or excessive copying (above 25%) according to the CopyCat program from Thaijo.

3. Editors must manage the publication of articles with conflicts of interest, such as publishing their own work (editor or chief editor), or ensuring no bias when assessing articles.

4. Editors must not disclose the identities of authors and reviewers to any third parties, ensuring a double-blind peer review process.

5. Editors must ensure that articles are not published if they have been previously published elsewhere, using reliable plagiarism detection tools such as CopyCat in Thaijo, with a threshold of no more than 25%.

6. Editors must ensure there is no conflict of interest between themselves, authors, and reviewers to maintain fairness and transparency.

7. Editors must not use any portion of an article for their own work.

8. Editors have the responsibility to evaluate research articles that follow proper research methodologies and yield trustworthy results.

9. If an article is found to have plagiarized or falsified information, and the author refuses to retract it, the editor has the right to withdraw the article without the author’s consent.

10. Editors must evaluate the capabilities of the editorial team and assign tasks according to individual expertise.

11. Editors must oversee both the quantity and quality of citations, ensuring that there is no manipulation of references, whether hidden or openly requested, and that citations are relevant and accurate.

12. Editors must strictly comply with the publication fees as prescribed by Mahamakut Buddhist University.

Ethical Standards for Reviewers

1. Reviewers should have expertise and qualifications related to the subject of the article they are reviewing, ensuring that their judgment is based on the article’s relevance, quality of analysis, and research findings.

2. Reviewers should offer fair, unbiased, and timely feedback on the article, maintaining transparency in their assessment.

3. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not disclose the article's content to unauthorized parties.

4. If a reviewer recognizes a conflict of interest with the author, they must inform the editor and decline to review the article.

5. Reviewers should be mindful when considering the article’s title. For academic articles, title revisions may be suggested, but for research articles, title corrections should only address spelling errors.

6. Reviewers must not use any part of the article for their own work.

7. If a reviewer notices any plagiarism or overlap between the article and other works, they should notify the editor and provide evidence.
