An application of Ditthadhammikattha in Life living of People in Pongyangkok District, Amphur Hangchat, Lampang Province

Abstract

The ways of living of almost Thai people are having plenty of needs and defilements without the consideration about their income from occupation. People also believe that money and assets can make them proud of in society. These cause the debt and problems. This research was conducted to find how to solve those problems. It’s objective was to study how people applied the content of Ditthadhammikattha to their ways of living, people’s knowledge and comprehension in Ditthadhammikattha and to know the problems which obstructed the application of Ditthadhammikattha to their real life. This research was the survey research which used the random sampling technique. The samples were people in 1 mooban containing 523 families. The research instruments were the set of questionnaires. Then, the data was analyzed and interpreted according to the research hypotheses. Research results reported orderly by the hypotheses as follows : Hypothesis 1 People had a little application of Ditthadhammikattha to their ways of living. Research results was showed that the sample had applied Ditthadhammikattha to their ways of living: “often” in Utthanasampada and Arakkhasampada, “rather often” in Kalyanamittata and “rarely” in Samajivita. Hypothesis 2 People had some knowledge and comprehension in Ditthadhammikattha. Research result was showed that the sample had “medium” knowledge and comprehension in Ditthadhammikattha. Hypothesis 3 People who had individual differences might have different application of Ditthadhammikattha to their ways of living. Research result was showed according to the hypothesis.
