The Pattern for Role Promotion of The Elders in the Community Development, Chainat Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research article was to study the circumstances of having a life, roles and potentialities of the elders. The different factors to support the roles including seeking the patterns in promotion of the roles in community development of the elders were scrutinized. This was the mixed research. The tools of the research was already checked. The research results were found that the elders had a life with the four factors quantitively. They had been concerned with their illness but they still had the roles in morality teaching, being the leaders in the community and had participated in politics. The factors to support the roles of the elders were the government’s policies. They had a desire to form their group or association, to be registered in accordance with the law in order to ask the budget from the government and to have the administration pattern of the group or association according to the sufficiency economy.
