Mahamakut Buddhist University Personnels6 Opinion on the Temple Fair Arrangement Compared with the Community Leaders

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study nature of the temple fair according to Mahamakut Buddhist University personnelsi and the community leadersi the understanding 2) to study Mahamakut Buddhist University personnelsi and the community leadersi opinion on the temple fair arrangement 3) to compare Mahamakut Buddhist University personnelsi and the community leadersi opinion on the temple fair arrangement and 4) to study suggestions of problems and solutions concerning with the temple fair arrangement. It was quantitative and qualitative research. The research samplings were 176 personnels and 160 the community leaders. Research instruments for data collecting were questionnaires. Data analysis used frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and made interview with personnels and the community leaders including 8 monks/people from each division. The results of research were found that 1) The results of questionnaires analyzing were found that Mahamakut Buddhist University personnels and the community leaders had the understanding to the temple fair in the whole view at high level and had opinion on the temple fair arrangement in the whole view with 3 aspects at moderate level. The results of interview analyzing were found that personnels and the community leaders had opinion that the type of good temple fair arrangement should be the fair for promoting Thai art, tradition and culture and having committee meeting for the temple fair arrangement plan, the government and the private department should support with money, equipment and workers for good arrangement, the problem of the temple fair arrangement was the lack of good experienced personnels, the temple got less benefits because of the capitalists. 2) Personnels and the community leaders had no different opinion on the temple fair arrangement with 3 aspects. 3) Suggestions of problems and solutions concerning with the temple fair arrangement were that there was intoxicant and liquor selling. They should be forbidden.
