FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO THE SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF PLASTIC WASTE IN THAILAND

Abstract

          This research is a study of the factors of participation in the sustainable development management of plastic waste in Thailand. The objectives are: 1. To study the management process of plastic waste such as clear plastic bottles (PET). 2. To study the development and participation in the management of plastic waste recycling processes. 3. To present the factors of participation in the sustainable development management of plastic waste in Thailand. According to the principles of good governance in the management process of recycling, which is a mixed - method research between qualitative research and quantitative research uses a specific research format with in-depth interviews. The population of key informants used in the research consisted of 5 groups, totaling 15 people, using statistics used These include frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The analysis results showed consistent reliability values in terms of participation. Using the correlation statistics by finding the population sample size of the Cocharan’s formula. The specified confidence level is 95% confidence, Z value=1.96, P(1-P) value will be the highest. When the population sampling ratio is 50% or P=0.50, the population is more than 385 people. The overall statistical value was obtained from a sample size of 400 people, with a mean of 4.09 and a standard deviation of 0.56, which means that most people agreement.
