Luang Phor Phra Buddha Sri Vichai : Holy Buddha Image of Nong Bua Lam Phu Province

Abstract

Wat Pho Sri or Wat Hai Sok, Lamphu Village, Tambol Lam Phu, Amphoe Muang Nong Bua Lam Phu, Nong Bua Lam Phu Province. The place that enshrined “Luang Phor Phra Buddha Sri Vichai”, the holy ancient important Buddha image of Nong Bua Lam Phu Province. From the study, it is found that in the Ubosoth of Wat Pho Sri is enshrined “Luang Phor Phra Buddha Sri Vichai”, this ancient Buddha made by image is made of stucco, the attitude of subduing Mara, Lan Xang art, folk technician, created around 23^th-24^th Buddhist. At the present, 'Luang Phor Phra Buddha Sri Vichai is an ancient sacred Buddha image to the people of Lam Phu Village and Nong Bua Lam Phu Province. Wat Pho Sri is also an important Buddhist Place and the important place for religious and cultural tourism of Nong Bua Lam Phu Province.
