An Innovations in Teaching English by Using Creative and Innovative Learning techniques for High School Students in the Educational Area, Wang Noi District, Province

Abstract

Research on the innovation of English teaching using Creative and Innovative Learning techniques for high school students in Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, aims to 1) study the learning management process using Creative and Innovative Learning techniques, which are good practices of model schools, 2) develop English teaching innovations, and 3) evaluate English teaching innovations. This research combines both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

The research results found that

1) The Creative and Innovative Learning learning management process is a learning management process based on the concept of intellectual creativity, emphasizing the learning process more than the subject content, allowing learners to create knowledge through actual practice through learning activities, in which teachers guide, stimulate, and facilitate learners to learn from analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating what they receive from learning activities.

2) The innovation of English teaching is the learning management plan, Unit 1 Where Are You from, Unit 2 Nouns, and Unit 3 Tourism and Services, using Torrance's creative thinking process. By classifying the creative thinking process, step 1, introducing the lesson, step 2, discovering the problem, step 3, discovering the idea, step 4, finding the answer, step 5, accepting the results of the discovery, step 6, reversing the data.

3) The results of the evaluation of English language skills achievement by comparing the average scores of the achievement test before and after studying of sub-unit 1, sub-unit 2, and sub-unit 3. Wat Chujittharam Buddhist School has a difference of 10.6/ 10.3/ 10.5 units, respectively. Wichian Klin Sukhon Upatham School has a difference of 8.7/ 7.4/ 7.6, which overall has a development.
