The Leadership in Administration of Phrakhru Sirisutanuyut as the Committee President of Buddhist Affairs Reform in Lamphun

Abstract

This research aims to 1) study the level of leadership in the administration of the chairman of the Buddhist Affairs Reform Committee of Lamphun Province, under the governance of Phrakhru Sirisutanuyut, 2) examine the relationship between the principle of sovereignty 3 and the leadership in the administration of the chairman of the Buddhist Affairs Reform Committee of Lamphun Province, under the governance of Phrakhru Sirisutanuyut, 3) identify the leadership model in the administration of the chairman of the Buddhist Affairs Reform Committee of Lamphun Province, under the governance of Phrakhru Sirisutanuyut. The research employs a mixed-methods approach. The population and sample consist of 297 monks in the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of Lamphun Province. The research instrument is a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.989. Data analysis statistics include descriptive and inferential statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and in-depth interviews with 15 experts. The instrument for data analysis is content synthesis.

The research results indicated that:

1) The level of leadership in the administration of the Chairman of the Lamphun Provincial Buddhist Affairs Reform Committee, Governance Division, was found to be generally high.

2) The relationship between the three principles of sovereignty and the leadership in the administration of the Chairman of the Lamphun Provincial Buddhist Affairs Reform Committee in the governance sector has a positive correlation, which is found to be at a very high level overall.

3) The leadership model in the administration of the chairman of the Lamphun Provincial Buddhist Affairs Reform Committee, Governance Division, includes three principles of sovereignty: 1) Attãdhipateyya, which involves confidence in one's own ability to make decisions and solve problems; 2) Lokãdhipateyya, which involves listening to and considering the opinions of others and encouraging everyone to participate in decision-making; 3) Dhammãdhipateyya, reasoning is paramount, with ethics and morality in the workplace.
