The Efficiency performance Based on Buddhist Principles of civil defense volunteers (CDV) of Pa Sak Subdistrict Municipality in Mueang Lamphun Province

Abstract

This research aims to 1) Study the level of performance efficiency of civil defense volunteers of Pa Sak Subdistrict Municipality. 2) Comparative study of performance efficiency of civil defense volunteers of Pa Sak Subdistrict Municipality. 3) Propose guidelines for increasing performance efficiency according to Buddhist principles of civil defense volunteers of Pa Sak Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang District, Lamphun Province. A mixed-method research method was used. The quantitative research population was citizens who were eligible to vote in Pa Sak Subdistrict Municipality. A questionnaire was administered to a sample of 388 people. Data were analyzed by finding frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test and F-test. The qualitative research was conducted by conducting in-depth interviews with 10 key informants using content analysis techniques.

The research results found that:

1) The overall performance efficiency of civil defense volunteers of Pa Sak Subdistrict Municipality was at a high level.

2) The results of the comparison of performance efficiency of civil defense volunteers of Pa Sak Subdistrict Municipality classified by personal factors showed that gender had no different opinions. Therefore, the research hypothesis was rejected. However, age, education level, occupation, and monthly income were different. Therefore, the research hypothesis was accepted.

3) The performance of civil defense volunteers according to Buddhist principles of Pa Sak Subdistrict Municipality found that 1) Chanda (satisfaction) was inspired by the work they did. 2) Viriya (diligence) was used to let officers see opportunities for advancement. 3) Chitta (attention) was used to continuously evaluate. 4) Vimangsa (contemplation) was used to consider the impact of work.
