Abstract

The study have 4 main objectives 1) Development of Buddhist methods for enhancing community in Ban Klong Dan, Ranot District, Songkhla Province,     2) Buddhist principles in community development and, 3) Buddhist methods for enhancing the potential of community participation. A case study of Khlong Dan community, Ranot district, Songkhla province. 4) New knowledge potential of community participation. A case study of Khlong Dan community, Ranot district, Songkhla province. The study was a qualitative research, in-dept interview and got information from purposive selection such as community leader, people of Klong Dan community 15 members for enhancing the potential of community participation. The data was analyzed using for integrated and new knowledge.


         


          The finding was as follow:


                1) Development of Buddhist community in Ban Klong Dan, Ranot District, Songkhla Province such as (1) information technology (2) economy (3) natural resource (4) mind (5) social and culture. 2) Buddhism principle is an important part of development community such as 4 Gharàvàsa-dhamma (virtues for a good household life), 4 Iddhipada (path of accomplishment), 4 Sangahavatthu (bases of social solidarity), 4 virtues leading to temporal welfare, 4 Iddhipada, 4 Chakra (virtues wheeling one to prosperity), 7 Aparihaniyagamma (condition of welfare). 3) Buddhist methods for enhancing community by increasing potential of community: A case study of Khlong Dan community, Ranot district, Songkhla province. It was found that 1. 4 Gharavasa-dhamma (virtues for a good household) is including (1) Sacca (truth and honesty) (2) Dama (adjustment)         (3) Khanti (tolerance) (4) Caga (liberality) 2.4 Iddhipada include Chanda (zeal) and Citta (dedication) 3.4 Sangahavatthu are Dana (giving) and Atthacariya (doing good) 4.4 virtues conductive to benefit in the present are Gunlayanamitta (good friend) 5.4 Chakra (1) living in a suitable (2) association with good people               (3) setting oneself in the right course (4) having formerly done meritorious deeds 6.7 condition of welfare are (1) meeting often (2) start meeting together until finish the meeting (3) open mind and accept the agreement of the meeting (4) deferential, listening and follow the older person who is president and have an experience (5) honoring, take a good care and no sexual harassment to lady (6) respect to sanctuary, monument and another culture (7) to protect and nourish for priest. and 4) Creating new knowledge and increasing potential power cooperate of community. According to a case study of Khlong Dan community, Ranot district, Songkhla province such as community participation, Democracy, cooperation, Self-reliance, creative for develop the community.
