WASTE MANAGEMENT IN HEMATOLOGY SPECIAL LABORATORY DEPARTMENT CHULALONGKORN HOSPITAL, THAI RED CROSS SOCIETY

This research aims to 1) To study the proper separation and disposal of infectious waste. 2) To solve problems and effectively manage infectious waste. 3) To promote discipline and social responsibility 4) To prevent the spread of infection from infectious waste. 5) To make money from recycled waste It is research for development. research tools Including report form with a sample group Personnel and staff at the Special Hematology Laboratory, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society were selected by purposive sampling. Then use the information gathered from the study and fix the disposal of infectious waste to promote social responsibility discipline. And to prevent the spread of infection from garbage, the method of study is 1) Infectious waste report form. 2) Infectious waste quantity report form from Theparat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital and bring the collected data. The results were analyzed in a content analysis.
The results showed that 1) had knowledge about types of waste, separation and disposal of each type of infectious waste; 2) had knowledge and understanding of waste separation. 3) It was found that it was less or almost never happened. 4) It was found that the chance of infection spreading from infectious waste was reduced. 5) It was found that can add value to recyclable waste within the department.
