Publishing Ethics

The Kasetsart Applied Business Journal is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in publishing. Therefore, all parties involved must strictly follow publishing ethical principles and standards.

 

Roles and Duties of the Editorial Board

- The editorial board is responsible for reviewing and evaluating every article submitted for publication in the journal, ensuring the content aligns with the goals and scope of the journal, and checking the quality of articles before publication.

- The editorial board must not have any conflict of interest with the authors or reviewers, and must not use articles or journals for commercial purposes or as their own academic work.

- The editorial board must not alter the article’s content or the reviewers’ evaluation results. Furthermore, they must not obstruct or interfere with the communication between reviewers and authors.

- The editorial board must strictly follow the journal’s processes and procedures.

- The editorial board must maintain the journal’s standards and continuously develop the journal to ensure it is of high quality and up-to-date.

 

Roles and Duties of the Authors

- The authors’ work must be original and not previously published or distributed anywhere.

- The authors must avoid plagiarism and provide proper citations when referencing others’ work in their articles.

- The authors must agree to transfer copyright to the journal prior to publication and must not distribute or reprint the work through other sources once it has been published in the Kasetsart Applied Business Journal.

- The authors listed in the article must be those who have genuinely contributed to the academic work.

 

Roles and Duties of the Reviewers

- The reviewers must primarily consider the quality of the article based on academic principles and rationale, without bias or personal opinions, and must have no conflict of interest with the authors of the article.

- The reviewers must not seek any benefit from the academic work they evaluate.

- The reviewers must ensure they possess the necessary knowledge and understanding of the content of the academic work being evaluated.

- If the reviewers discover that the article being evaluated is plagiarized, they must notify the editorial board immediately.

- The reviewers must adhere to the specified evaluation time frame and must not disclose information about the article to anyone not involved in the review process.

 

Human Research Ethics Policy

- Research articles submitted for publication in the Kasetsart Applied Business Journal that involve human research must receive approval from the Human Research Ethics Review Board of an institution approved by the Office of Human Research Standards, National Research Council of Thailand, and comply with international ethical and legal standards.

- Research articles submitted for publication in the Kasetsart Applied Business Journal that include experiments involving humans or animals must be approved by the committee that considers the ethics of using animals for scientific work, in accordance with the Animals for Scientific Purposes Act, B.E. 2558 (2015).

- The journal’s editorial board requests cooperation from faculty members, researchers, and academics submitting research articles involving human or animal experiments to include a certificate of ethics from an Ethics Committee for Research on Humans or Laboratory Animals, certified by the Office of Human Research Standards, National Research Council of Thailand. Additionally, details of this certification must be included in the article. Authors must submit supporting evidence along with their article during the submission process by uploading it as a file via the journal’s online system.

 

Policy on Managing Conflicts of Interest

- The journal has a policy to avoid conflicts of interest between the editorial board, reviewers, and authors to ensure that the publication of articles is academically transparent. Therefore, if any party is directly or indirectly related to the article, the authors must inform the editorial board of such relationships in writing or by sending messages through the journal’s online system.
