History of the Journal

b3Co

      The Faculty of Business Administration has recognized the importance of disseminating research in business administration and thus conceived the idea of creating the “Kasetsart Applied Business Journal (KAB Journal)” in response to the policies of the government and Kasetsart University.

This journal aims to disseminate articles, research works,

and theses to the public, providing a platform for faculty members, master’s and doctoral degree students, and other interested individuals in the field of business administration throughout the country to present their academic work.

     The print version of the journal has been produced since 2007, starting with Volume 1, Issue 1 (January - June 2007).

In 2017, the working group initiated the transformation of the Kasetsart Applied Business Journal (KAB Journal) into an electronic journal with ISSN: 1906-0254 (Print) and ISSN: 2539-6250 (Online). This transition commenced with Volume 11, Issue 14, in June 2017, alongside the printed journal, to accommodate users’ needs for convenient and rapid access to articles in various formats.

Currently, the Kasetsart Applied Business Journal (KAB Journal) has discontinued its print version, and only the electronic version remains. The ISSN number for the online journal has been updated to ISSN: 2985-2277 (Online), effective from Volume 17, Issue 27, July - December 2023 onwards.

Background and Rationale

     The Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) has established criteria requiring graduates studying at the master’s and doctoral levels to have their theses published in an academic peer-reviewed journal. This guarantees the quality of the work prior to its national and international publication. This policy aligns with Kasetsart University’s focus on becoming a research university and aims to meet the objectives of evaluating the quality of published academic work under the standards set by the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA). The evaluation includes an index that tracks the number of theses, works, and research published both nationally and internationally. This aims to guide society in the right direction through the dissemination of scholarly opinions and findings.

Project Objectives

  1. To respond to the policy of the Faculty of Business Administration by providing a platform for the publication of academic work by faculty members, master’s and doctoral degree students, and interested individuals, to enhance academic services at an international level;
  2. To serve as a source for publishing articles, research works, and theses;
  3. To serve as a research resource for students and those interested in acquiring knowledge from articles, research works, and book reviews.

Scope and Objectives

      The Kasetsart Journal of Applied Business undergoes a rigorous screening and quality evaluation process by at least three peer reviewers from various institutions in related fields.
