THE DEVELOPMENT OF VIRTUAL LEARNING COMMUNITY MODEL OF MANGO LEARNING CENTER FOR MANGO PRODUCTION ENTERPRISE GROUP IN BANGKHLA DISTRICT, CHACHOENGSAO PROVINCE

Abstract

The research objectives aimed to 1) study the concepts in designing, 2) develop the virtual learning community, and 3) evaluate the satisfaction towards the mango learning center for Mueang Paet Riu Mango Enterprise in Bang Khla District, Chachoengsao Province. This research contained the four steps: 1) study the community’s assent and consensus, 2) develop the prototype innovation, 3) use the prototype innovation, and 4) evaluate and assess the model. The population consisted of mango farmers, teachers, parents and students, and they could be classified into three groups through focus group; each group comprised 9 participants: total of 27 participants. The instruments were unstructured interview and satisfaction questionnaire, and statistics for data analysis were mean and percentage. The findings revealed that the villagers, i.e. local scholars who were excellently the expert for producing mangoes and acted as the local wisdom on mango management. The main points of local wisdom included soil characteristics, types of soil, mango cultivars, groove digging, watering level, tree height, pruning, nurturing, fertilizing, hormone using and gathering. The virtual learning community model derived from knowledge management as model innovation was recognized by the experts (hhp://vlc.rru.ac.th/phpmyadmin) and the website users revealed their satisfaction at the highest level.
