THE EFFICIENT DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTIVITY TO RAISE THE VALUE ADDED OF THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY, AGRICULTURE, "CANE" IN THE NORTHEAST

Abstract

This qualitative research contained the target group who live in Phu Khiao district, Chaiyaphum province, Kaeng Sanam Nang district, Nakhon Ratchasima province, and Ban Phue district, Udon Thani province. A total of selected-80 farmers, including 40 sugarcane farmers, 15 heads of sugarcane farmers, and 25 quota managers were interviewed, using Participatory Action Research (PAR) by R&D techniques. Group collect information was from the community forum, as well as the group discussion with in-depth interviews with participatory and non-participatory observation. The Inductive data was analyzed by interpreting a conclusion of findings, guidelines, and the descriptive research results as follows: 1) The efficiency and productivity improvement included the importance of soil condition in planting plots, water and sugarcane varieties, 2) leverage and create value added by producing sugar cane syrup, organic sugarcane juice, export sugar cane veneer, animal feed and distribution compost, 3) reduction of production and distribution costs, such as preparation of suitable areas and planting time by using modern machines to replace human workers, 4) problems and obstacles in developing and upgrading cane sugarcane crops, such as the high cost of production, labor cost, machinery cost, also variety of good sugarcane varieties, and 5) guidelines for grouping and establishing a network of stakeholders and sugarcane farmers, heads of sugar cane farmers that associated with a large agriculture.
