SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT BEHAVIOR OF COMMUNITIES IN KRATHUMLOM SUBDISTRICT, SAMPHRAN DISTRICT, NAKHON PATHOM PROVINCE
This research aims 1) to study solid waste management behavior, 2) to compare the personal factors of the residents, and 3) to study the factors that affect the waste management of the residents. The populations were the residents in Krathumlom Sub-district, Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom Province with 29 communities at the total of 25,644 residents. The 394 samples were calculated by Taro Yamane sample size. In order to reduce discrepancies, therefore, the 400 samples were accidently random. The instrument was questionnaires at the reliability of 0.92 The statistical used to analyze the data was Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA. Least Significant Difference Test was used to analyze the differences data and Multiple Regression Analysis Method.
The research found that; 1) the overall aspects of solid waste management behavior of the community indicated at high level, however, to consider at each aspect indicated at high level in all aspects as follows: transformation and recycling waste, disposal waste, reduction and avoidance of waste. Upon the overall aspects of the support factors for community solid waste management behavior indicated at high level, which was ranged from the highest level on social support, participation, perception, public mind, and attitude, 2) the differentiation on gender and duration of stay performed that the waste management behavior was not significant different whereas the differentiation on age, education level, career, monthly income performed was significant different, 3) the supporting factors affect to community solid waste management indicated the variance at 81.20 percent and performed that the positive direction on the community solid waste management behavior all 5 aspects were statistically significant at 0.05;
