Abstract

The objectives of this research are to develop a scientific enquiry learning package under a topic of “Fun with Human Body System” and to study the academic achievement as a result of the teaching and learning with the scientific enquiry method of the Mathayom 2 students at The Demonstration School of Ramkhamhaeng University. Cluster sampling through the purposive sampling technique, 35 Mathayom 2 students of 2 classes in their first semester of 2018 academic year. The tools for this research consisted 1) Eight sets of scientific enquiry learning packages, 2) Eight “5Es” enquiring method lesson plans, and 3) 40-question academic achievement tests. The statistical analyses used for this research were means ( ), percentages, standard deviations (S.D.), and a hypothesis testing with a dependent-sample t-test.

            The results revealed that the scientific enquiry learning package of Mathayom 2 students which were developed have the overall effectiveness values E1/E2 equaled 81.10 /86.20 reveal the target criteria 80/80. The research results revealed that after learning through package under a topic of “Fun with Human Body System” of the Mathayom 2 students at The Demonstration School of Ramkhamhaeng University achievement was statistical significance higher than the criterion of 80% average score at 0.05 level ( gif.latex?\bar{X}=34.23, S.D.=1.91).t
