STRENGTHENING THE INNOVATIVE LEADERSHIP OF SECONDARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION

The two purposes of this research were: 1) To design an innovative leadership enhancement program for secondary school administrators; and 2) To study the results of implementing the innovative leadership program for the secondary school administrators. The sample group that used the program was a total of eight volunteer secondary school administrators under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 27, chosen by purposive sampling. The tool used for data collection was a questionnaire which had a high level of reliability. The statistics used in the data analysis were average, percentage, standard deviation and Independent t-test techniques. The two major research results were as follows: 1) The six components of the program to enhance innovative leadership of the secondary school administrators were Program principles, Program objectives, Program target, Program development content, Development process and method of enhancing, and Evaluation of the program. The program achieved its goals at a high level. 2) The results of implementing the innovative leadership program of the secondary school administrators found that the level of innovative leadership of secondary school administrators after development was significantly higher than before development. Post-development follow-up by evaluating the level of innovative leadership of secondary school administrators, using two groups of assessors, found that overall, the administrators performed at a high level.
