Abstract

This research has the objective for analyze important elements of shape or geometry and proportion, which then taken into consideration of the creation of dance. This research is a qualitative research by documents, educational books that are relevant, observe, interview with people who are experts in dance as well as 4 academic persons, collecting data by experiment the creation of dance for 2 times. So, it was found,

            The creation of dance shows an important element of proportion in shape or geometry and dance that is all about line and space. The connection of shape or geometry and proportion with dance has been relevant from the past to the present which continuous using this principle to create dance performance by choreography artists. The consideration in terms of shape, geometry, and proportion with different types of art are all connected, it based on value, context in the current environment. It shows the unity of the work, but in fact there are no have the clear rules for geometrical composition because it is relying on the beauty aesthetic ideals in the difference periods that express the hidden aesthetic feelings in the difference way by expressing through the composition placement of the appropriate proportions of the work that exists in the art or the science of creativity which Including the connection with the dance.
