Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine a learning design course of Counseling Psychology and Guidance for developing 21st century learning skills of NRRU undergraduate students. The participants were 24 students in the Faculty of Education who were enrolled in the Counseling Psychology and Guidance course in the 1st semester of the academic year 2019. They were purposively selected to participate in this study. The two instruments were: 1) the learning design course of Counseling Psychology and Guidance whose design was based on concepts of constructivist theory, learning process in the 21st century, a child-centered approach and the learning outcomes of the counseling and psychology courses; and 2) the assessment form for 21st century learning skills. The latter instrument had an IOC value of 0.90-1.00 and a confidence value of 0.928. The data were analyzed by using the statistics of percentage, average, standard deviation and t-test. The results revealed that  the average total score and each of the 21st century learning skills of NRRU undergraduate students after learning by using the learning activity according to the details of the course of Counseling Psychology and Guidance were significantly higher than before they began the course. That the examine learning, project-based learning, and activity-based learning able to develop learning process in the 21st century.
