THE STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT OF BASIC EDUCATION SCHOOL UNDER KAMPHAENGPHET PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICES 1 AND 2

The purpose of this research was to study the conditions and problems of environmental issue and factors related to environmental management, and to develop and evaluate environmental management in schools under the office of Kamphaeng Phet primary education service areas 1 and 2 with the mixed method. Quantitative research using the Krejcie and Morgan formula for a total of 291 subjects was conducted. Stratified random sampling used a questionnaire that multiple choices, Likert scale, and open-ended methods, where the question had content validity than <0.60. Data collection was analyzed with percentage, mean and standard deviation. For the key informants, a purposive sampling of 4 groups, a total of 54 participants was selected. A semi-structured interview and an evaluation form were reviewed by the advisor’s thesis. Also, drafting a strategy in collecting data with group discussion and workshops were used. Research data was analyzed through content analysis and the assessment results with mean and standard deviation. The findings indicated the environment within the physical education institution that the problem is academic, conditions, and obstacle of development management adjust, management-related factors include internal factors, budget, and external economic factors. Thus, the appropriate strategic position is an adaptation strategy, that develop eight strategies and high-level the overall. This strategy can be seen as a policy, and the main focus on the development of the school’s quality.
