ATTITUDE OF EMPLOYEES ON THE ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AFFECTING WORK EFFICIENCY IN AN INTERIOR DESIGN AND DECORATION COMPANY, BANGKOK AREA

This survey-based research aimed to 1) study demographic factors, 2) investigate attitudes that affect work efficiency, and 3) examine the influence of organizational culture on work efficiency. The research scope is defined as interior design and decoration companies in Bangkok Area. The study conducted with a sample group of 133 employees using a convenient random sampling method. The collective data was conducted using a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.973, distributed and collected individually within the research area. Data was analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, hypothesis testing through t-tests, one-way ANOVA for variance analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The research findings revealed that: 1) the majority of participants were males aged between 25-30 years old; single; holding a bachelor's degree; having 10 or more years of work experience; and earning an average monthly income below 10,000 baht, 2) there is a high overall attitude towards work performance, and 3) employees with different genders, ages, work experience, and average monthly incomes have varying opinions that impact work efficiency. The attitudes towards knowledge and organizational culture, in terms of reward systems, control, cooperation, direction setting, and individual empowerment, they statistically significantly impact work performance at a significance level of 0.05. They demonstrate to organizational managers the importance of an utilize it as a guideline to maintain employees working in the organization in the long term.
