STUDY ON THE POSSIBILITY OF LEARNING CENTER EXPANSION OF ORGANIC MUSHROOM CULTIVATION COMMUNITY ENTERPRISE AT BAN LIPHON HUA HAN-BO RAE, PHUKET PROVINCE

Expanding a learning center for sufficient production capacity to meet market demand is typically risky. Therefore, this research aims to study five possibilities and propose guidelines for such expansion. The sample group included 40 customers of community enterprise groups. A questionnaire was used with a consistency between 0.67 and 1.00. The data were collected by individual inquiry. The data analysis focuses on marketing needs by finding percentages and averages, including economic and financial values. Flow charts were employed to analyze the production process, the organizational structure and plans, and environmental feasibility. Concerning 1) marketing, the factors most affecting the purchasing decision was fast delivery service. Regarding 2) the technical and engineering aspects, the mushroom production capacitated 612,000 blocks per year, with 2 production machines, 2 mushroom block steaming ovens, 3 workers, and a 288-square-meter area. 3) The financial aspect indicated current net worth 29,403,567.39 THB with investment return rate equal to 85.66%. The payback period is 1 year and 5 months and the cost-benefit ratio are 2.09, which is greater than 1, suggesting that this project provides a return worth the investment. Concerning 4) the administration, an organizational structure depends on duties and the group leader. Regarding 5) the environment, the production is environmentally friendly. The research finally proposed 3-step guidelines for setting up a center: preparation, operation, and monitoring and evaluation. This will lead to the possible expansion of the organic mushroom cultivation learning center suitable for investment in all aspects.
