Abstract

This research focuses on crafting an identity for products that emphasizes value to heighten acceptance levels. The objective is to develop products from local wisdom that generate both benefits and income. The study also investigates the effects of integrating knowledge of design thinking principles with local entrepreneurs in the Ko Lad Ethan community, Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom Province. The researcher identified two specific target groups using purposive sampling method, each consisting of 20 individuals, totally 40 individuals employing semi-structured interviews and questionnaires with both congruence indexes ranging from 0.67 to 1.00. Data were collected through individual interviews, workshops, exhibitions, and analyzed using summarization, means and standard deviation. The findings indicate that 1) Developed product labels and packaging for agricultural and processed products include fruit-infused fruit, mulberry juice, dried pomelo peel, pomelo jam, and infused pomelo peel. These were designed based on six main criteria: (1) product protection, (2) product packaging, (3) convenience, (4) sales promotion, (5) cleanliness and safety, and (6) packaging. 2) The target groups perceived and expressed the high satisfaction with the new product labels and packaging for agricultural and processed products ( =3.81, S.D.=0.39). Therefore, the developed models can encourage and promote community tourism, create value, and generate benefits and income for local entrepreneurs in the community sustainably.
