COOPERATION MODEL FOR DRUG PROBLEM PREVENTION OF COMMUNITY LEADERS UBON RATCHATHANI PROVINCE

Coordinating as a motivative for members to succeed their mission is the role of individuals recognized in their respective areas to empower communities. This research aimed to: 1) study the state of cooperation, 2) develop a model, and 3) evaluate the cooperative model of community leaders in Ubon Ratchathani Province preventing drug problems. The study involved 348 randomly selected samples using a purposive sampling method of 62 individuals. Research tools included surveys, item objective congruence forms, suitability and feasibility assessment forms with index values ranging from 0.81 to 1.00, documentations, structured interviews, focus group discussions, and pre-test and post-test that were reviewed by thesis advisors. Data was collected through document analysis, individual interviews, focus group discussions, and training sessions. The collected data was analyzed using percentages, averages, and content analysis. The findings of the study revealed that 1) The overall level of cooperative state was very high; however, there was still an issue of drug; needs, trafficking, and a delayed response to mission-critical tasks at the community leadership level which has adversely affected the community's quality of life. 2) The enhanced cooperative model consisted of several elements, including principles, objectives, operational procedures, success criteria, and post-training effectiveness. The model was tested after training and showed higher suitability and feasibility post-training, demonstrating its potential effectiveness for building drug-free communities.
